Texture budgets?
I’m busy working away on an art test at the moment and I’ve not got permission to share the work yet so I’ll have nothing of my own to post for the next 3 weeks, but I was amazed by this scene which was created in UDK with just one set of 512*256 textures! It’s well worth checking out the rest of the thread for more information about how he achieved this, making the best possible use of UDK’s powerful material editor.

Hello! This is my new blog and portfolio website. There’s not much to see here yet.
I’ve been working as an environment artist for about 4 years now, and am taking a couple of months out to learn some new techniques and improve my skills. I’m going to do this by attempting a few small environment projects using engines such as Unreal Engine 3 and CryENGINE®3.
